the staff always helped ME. kieron was helpful on wednesday night when i checked in. he gave us loads of info and upgraded us. louise came out of the office to see us and ensured we had all our future bookings sorted for this year. i am so grateful to her and she IS an excellent customer focused employee.
the rooms was badly decorated. i couldn't turn bedside lights off without getting out of bed. only. heating was an electric plug in heater. the tv kept turning itself OFF. the bathroom with the bathtub was horrible. the bath was so slippery. there was no handle to grab on too, NO bathmat. english bottled water IN rooms.

Really good Stay, Historical Charm and Modern Comfort

large bedroomslush jacuzzifriendly staffconsiderate information
The corner room featured a jacuzzi, I found very relaxing. Breakfast had a nice selection (especially the pastries). Staff members were friendly and helpful. I received accurate information about parking before 8am, I thought this was very considerate.
I noticed the room was dark. I had some difficulty finding a good spot to apply makeup.
Location
9/10
The hotel is situated near the bay area. I observed that it is a short bus ride to the city center. The surrounding area offers convenient access to key attractions. It is easy to get around.

cold waterleaking plug
the spa bath, it was advertised for two people, but i think that's a stretch. also, the water was cold, so it wasn't exactly an enjoyable spa experience. and to top it off, the hand basin plug was leaking. seriously?!
